New Valley Technical Director

Angela Morrison has accepted the position of Technical Director for the Valley District Soccer Association. Morrison, a native of Economy NS, enjoyed a stellar career at Acadia University before moving to Japan to play professionally.

Angela takes over from former TD Wayne “Wanners” Evans, who took over the position of Player Development Coordinator for the Alberta Soccer Association.

A.C. Milan coming to coach young soccer players

Mikailee Vincent hopes the pointers she picks up from a specialized training camp next month will help her take the next steps in her young soccer career.

The 11-year-old from Dartmouth is returning for her second summer of instruction with representatives of the renowned A.C. Milan soccer club who’ll host camps at the Burnside fields on July 20-24 and July 27-31.

Hart leads Canada into Gold Cup tonight

Canada's men's national team will face Jamaica in the opening match of the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup. The two sides will kick off at 17.00 PT (20.00 ET) at The Home Depot Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Coach Stephen Hart (Halifax, NS) expects Jamaica to be "tight and organized, closing space down and trying to get behind us with their speed.
