The Dartmouth United Soccer Club is now accepting applications for its technical staff in the winter season 2008-2009.
Position Outline:
Working closely with the Technical Director, all technical staff will be responsible for either running or assisting with practice sessions for Dartmouth United’s Committed Player Program. They will also provide ongoing support to teams, and help/mentor other coaches as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize, plan and run Committed Player Program sessions as assigned
- Mentor, evaluate and support assistant coaches within Committed Player Program
- Run team practice sessions as assigned
- Assist and provide feedback to team coaches
- Travel to games to evaluate and provide player recommendations as requested by the Technical Director
- Assist with coaching clinics as put on by the Technical Director
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience playing soccer at a high level
- Ability to demonstrate proper technique
- Previous experience coaching young players
- Strong social skills
- Ability to express coaching points clearly
- Pre-B coaching license
- Candidates that show potential/are willing to work towards this certification will also be considered
