| Toronto FC is well represented in the Canada Under-20 squad for an upcoming training camp in Switzerland. Nana Attakora-Gyan, Gabe Gala, Derek Gaudet (Bayside, NS) and TFC Academy defender Daniel Tannous have all been included in the squad for games in Bern and Solothurn later this month.
Canada will play an exhibition match against U21 Berner Sports Club Young Boys on November 24th in Bern and then an international friendly match against Switzerland on November 26th in Solothurn. The matches will be played with an eye toward next year's FIFA U-20 World Cup Egypt 2009. The 2009 CONCACAF Men's Under-20 Championship will take place first from 5-16 March in Trinidad & Tobago.
Attakora impressed for Toronto FC when given the opportunity during the 2008 Major League Soccer season, making three starts. Gabe Gala has ten caps at youth level for Canada (U-20, U-19 and U-18). The Brampton native made one substitute appearance for Toronto FC in MLS in 2008. Derek Gaudet signed a developmental contract with the Reds in August 2008 after impressing during a trial spell. Toronto is Gaudet's first professional club. He has previously represented Canada at under 17 and under 20 levels. Daniel Tannous is looking to earn his first cap with the U-20s.
