Stephen Hart Named Head Coach

The Canadian Soccer Association announced at a news conference in Toronto today that Stephen Hart (Halifax, NS) has been appointed head coach of Canada’s national team. Hart will be in charge of Canada’s qualification efforts as Canada works toward the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™.

2009 CCAA Women's Soccer Coach of the Year

Mount Saint Vincent University’s Amit Batra, is the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association 2009 Women’s Soccer Coach of the Year.

Amit focused his energy this season on the overall fitness of his team, as well as improving the girls technically and strategically.

Mystics win ACAA title

What a difference a year makes for the Mount Saint Vincent Mystics women’s soccer program.

Exactly one year ago, the top-ranked Mystics were upset in the semifinal of the ACAA championship.

On Sunday, they redeemed themselves.

Conference rookie of the year Jill Edwards knocked in a header at the 65th minute for the only goal of the match as MSVU blanked the University of King’s College Blue Devils 1-0 in the matinee final in Charlottetown.
